Canadian FireFighter Appreciation Day & charity fitness challenge was founded in 2009 by George & Andrea Savard. It was created to bring awareness to the physical and mental challenges of the daily efforts of Canadian firefighters including the demands of their jobs as well as the strategic teamwork and trust needed to work together. Prior to covid, the large scale charity event was held from 2009 thru 2019 at the Milton Fall Fair and at the FirePower Campus. Currently, FFAD holds an annual 9/11 Anniversary weekend event to allow members and friends to tackle a gruelling workout while wearing one of our 150 sets of bunker gear, masks and air tanks, and experience the many pieces of firefighting equipment we have on site.
The Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation will HONOUR and REMEMBER fallen firefighters, and SUPPORT their families. To date, the FirePower community has raised over $70,000.
911 Services are an inherently dangerous and physical job. Every successful firefighter, police officer and paramedic knows that the less physically fit you are, the more dangerous the job becomes. Passing the fitness testing can be challenging - we can help!
